Our History Reflects Our Mission To Provide

Never Compromising Service and Values

The Nutter Group was founded in 1988 to provide quality healthcare executive search consulting with a strong service orientation.  Since the beginning, Nutter Group has served a national client base supporting C-suite and other key leadership search services to healthcare providers along the care continuum: Ambulatory care/physician practices, acute care, long-term care, home health and hospice.  Clients served include faith-based, for-profit, not-for-profit and governmental healthcare organizations.  Within those served are academic medical centers, community hospitals, and integrated delivery systems. 

A founding principle, Never Compromising Service - NCS®, paved the way for Nutter Group's professionals to become an extension of the client’s management team, representing them as such throughout the engagement and beyond.  This collaborative team approach and desire to treat all individuals, client or candidates, with respect encouraged repeat business from satisfied clients to help support the firm’s success.  New clients were added to “those served” through word-of-mouth referrals.  Recommendations from candidates who experienced the firm’s distinguishing Never Compromising Service delivered from the professional and support staff, contributed to a growing client base.  Former candidates became decision-makers and engaged the Nutter Group for key leadership talent acquisition services.  Board leaders sought counsel and direction to support their organizations’ needs for compensation, performance review, succession planning and other talent management concerns on their agenda providing oversight responsibilities.

Another founding principle, to be flexible and responsive to unique client circumstances, helped refine the Nutter Group services.  This required understanding the client’s organizational culture, an awareness of their financial constraints and competitive forces, and knowing key leadership competencies and relationships.   The Nutter Group’s willingness to structure search processes and fees to maximize its clients’ human capital assets supported the firm’s long-term success.  Stewardship of client resources through prudent expense management complimented Nutter Group’s approach to establishing professional fees.  This assures the Nutter Group’s services are consistently competitive with national standards for comparable services.

A willingness to innovate led the Nutter Group to introduce Videoview® in 1989.  As technology advanced, a commitment to excellence directed Nutter Group’s response with continual updates to Videoview®, allowing its acceptance from clients and candidates alike.   Today, the Nutter Group continues to explore ways to refine services and introduce new approaches to provide services sought by clients to build a team of leaders and assure organizational success.
